Following a mock exam, when will I receive my child’s results?
Mock+: all results and data, including papers, will be sent electronically with rapid turnaround, usually within 2 working days. We do not post results. Please contact hello@mathsconcierge.co.uk if you have not received your results within 2 working days. Please allow until midnight on that day for our email servers to process all content.
We would appreciate it if customers did not chase results before the end of these timeframes, as this has the potential to delay the process.
Non Mock+: all results and data, including papers, will be sent electronically within one week. The latest time that all parents received results in 2025 was within 96 hours.
We do not post results. Please contact hello@mathsconcierge.co.uk if you have not received your results within one week.
The timescale for video solutions and the release of the Shadow Paper will be communicated along with your results. Usually, videos are available after a further 24–48 hours and the Shadow Paper within a further 72 hours.
I am unable to attend a mock exam that I have booked. What are my options?
Individual mock bookings: You may request a date change with at least 7 days’ notice, subject to availability. Each date change carries a £15 amendment fee. You may cancel with at least 7 days’ notice, subject to a £25 cancellation charge, and any refund will be processed to the original payment card.
Discounted mock bundles: Bundles may be cancelled with at least 14 days’ notice before the next scheduled unused mock. If one or more mocks have already been completed, those mocks will be charged at the standard individual mock rate; the £25 cancellation charge will then be deducted and any remaining balance refunded to the original payment card. Cancellations made with fewer than 14 days’ notice are non-refundable, and unused sessions cannot be transferred or substituted.
Platinum Membership: While an active Platinum Membership is in place, the member receives one complimentary date change for each eligible individual mock booking, subject to at least 7 days’ notice and availability. The usual £15 amendment fee is waived. This benefit does not apply to discounted bundles and does not waive cancellation charges.
Within 7 days / no-show: Individual mock bookings cannot be changed, transferred or refunded within 7 days of the scheduled mock. No-shows are non-refundable. These provisions are subject to applicable statutory rights.
What should my child bring to a mock exam?
Your child should bring only the minimum necessary equipment: pen or pencil, ruler and rubber in a clear plastic bag or pencil case. They should also bring a drink, preferably water, and a small snack. FSCE exams do not allow a watch or clock.
How can I find details or confirmation of my booking?
Please allow hello@mathsconcierge.co.uk to your safe sender list. Receipts are automatically created during the sale process and act as confirmation. Exam information is sent between 24 and 96 hours before the mock to share key information.
How long does a mock exam last?
Our 11+ mock exams typically run from 9:00am to 11:30am or 12:00pm, depending on the exam. All information is available on the specific mock page and is emailed a week before the exam.
Are different papers used in each mock?
At Maths Concierge, we believe we do things differently (and hopefully better).
Every mock exam is different: every month, every year and every sitting.
We do not just copy previous papers. We predict and we innovate.
I've heard your mocks are too challenging. What can I do?
Maths Concierge has a reputation for having challenging mocks, especially in the Maths section.
Firstly, this is nothing to worry about because scores are always standardised.
Secondly, we predict the styles and difficulty of upcoming papers with strong accuracy, meaning students are regularly exposed to the type of knowledge and concepts they need to be successful in the real exam.
When students only practise past papers, they are not learning at sufficient depth to ensure success. They need regular, challenging and abstract ways of presenting concepts to deepen their understanding.
Will my child receive support during an 11+ mock exam?
We will usually mirror any arrangements confirmed by the CSSE administration, so your child receives the same support in a mock exam that they would receive in the 11+ exam itself.
What is a shadow paper?
A shadow paper is an identical copy of a Maths paper where the numbers, and sometimes the contexts, have been changed. It is useful extra practice to consolidate knowledge and improve exam skills.
Will my child be able to sit with their friends?
Children are preassigned to a test area before a mock exam, just as they will be for the actual CSSE event.
Can I accompany my child into the exam centre?
No. Your child will be registered by a member of the Maths Concierge team and directed to their designated seat. This replicates the real CSSE exam-day experience.
Can I wait at the exam centre?
Test centres do not have facilities for parents to wait during mock exams. CSSE exams are held in Leigh-on-Sea, where we can direct you to local places. FSCE exams are held in Springfield, around a 20-minute walk from the city centre, with coffee and food places nearby.

What is the difference between a Mock, Workshop, Masterclass and Group Class?
Mock exam
A mock exam is a formal exam sitting completed in person under timed, exam-style conditions. It is designed to replicate the structure, pace and pressure of the real assessment as closely as possible. For CSSE, this includes Maths and English, including Continuous Writing. For FSCE, this includes the relevant papers such as Adventure, Beacon, Compass and Discovery. Papers are assessed in the manner most appropriate to the exam board, so parents and students gain meaningful feedback on current performance.
Workshop
A workshop is an in-person classroom session that is more interactive than a mock. It combines direct teacher instruction with independent tasks, paired work and guided group activities. Workshops follow a structured, copyrighted printed workbook and are designed to build understanding, strengthen technique and give students the opportunity to apply what they are learning in a supported setting.
Masterclass
A masterclass is typically delivered online and is more intensive, focused and lecture-led in style. It is designed to tackle key concepts, high-value skills and exam-relevant techniques in a clear and efficient way. Masterclasses often include expert explanation, worked examples and targeted question practice, making them particularly useful for students who need strong strategic guidance on how to approach the exam.
Group Class
A group class is an online lesson for a small group of students, usually fewer than 10, following a structured curriculum over time. These classes combine explicit teacher instruction with student participation and activities, allowing children to develop their knowledge steadily and consistently. Group classes are ideal for those who benefit from weekly guidance, routine and ongoing syllabus coverage.
Membership
What is the Maths Concierge VIP Membership?
Our membership has been curated to support parents and students through the CSSE 11+ journey. Membership is available as Gold and Platinum; the current plans and their features are shown on the membership section.
What do I get with my membership?
Our membership brings weekly papers together with digital practice, progress tracking and optional expert support for the CSSE 11+ journey.
We create challenging, varied papers with topic depth and reasoning in mind, so students practise applying skills to unfamiliar material rather than only repeating past questions.
All students receive designed practice papers on the same day every week. Papers are approximately 30 marks, and Maths papers include question-by-question video worked solutions.
Our portal also includes PromptLab for Continuous Writing, Daily Practice with trackable progress and MC TopicWise Maths Arcade, which currently covers 155 maths strands across its catalogue. Questions are generated fresh, so the same strand can be practised many times. Platinum members also receive one complimentary date change for each eligible individual mock booking while their membership is active, subject to at least 7 days’ notice and availability; the usual £15 amendment fee is waived. This benefit does not apply to discounted bundles or waive cancellation charges. Some features are tier dependent; current plans and pricing are shown in the membership section.
How do I cancel my membership?
You can cancel your membership at any time by messaging through your portal or emailing hello@mathsconcierge.co.uk.
How long should I get a membership for?
The answer is completely up to you.
Each week, you will receive either one or two Maths and English papers of approximately 30 marks, depending on your plan. There are over 500 questions across the Maths papers so far, and the number grows every week.
Alongside the papers, the TopicWise Maths Arcade offers over 400,000 question variations across 155 strands, and Daily Practice offers over 50,000 Maths question variations and about 1,100 English questions.
The papers have been created with topic depth and reasoning in mind. Each Maths paper aims to assess at least four of the following strands:
- Numeracy
- Numerical reasoning
- Algebra
- Algebraic reasoning
- Shape
- Space
- Data
- Ratio
Each English paper aims to assess at least four of the following strands:
- Recall
- Inference
- Literary devices
- Opinion and justification
- Language and vocabulary
- Author’s purpose
- Imagery and setting
- Emotive response
Over the course of a year, students would have all of the requisite skills necessary to be successful in the CSSE 11+, both in and out of catchment.
Classes and tutoring
What is your cancellation policy for tutoring?
All tutoring sessions require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. With less notice, the full session fee is payable. Where more than one cancellation occurs in a term, we reserve the right to reassign the regular time slot.
What is your cancellation policy for Masterclasses?
We attempt to record Masterclass sessions so students who cannot attend can still benefit. Unfortunately, bookings cannot be transferred for non-attendance.
What are the Terms and Conditions for Group Classes?
Your place in a group class is confirmed once payment has been received. If you cancel your booking, we may retain an amount reflecting our reasonable net loss from the cancellation, taking account of any costs saved or your place being filled by another student. Any remaining balance will be refunded. If we cancel a class, we will refund the fees for that class. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Start date: confirmed on enrolment.
Duration: Academic Year 2026/2027 (term time only).
Location: Online (or as otherwise agreed).
A full week-by-week schedule will be shared prior to the class start date. The schedule is subject to change based on tutor professional judgement and class needs.
All payments are due in advance by the deadlines stated. Your £50 deposit will be deducted from the first invoice issued.
Option A: Termly payment
- Term 1: 15 sessions × £25 = £375 (due by the deadline stated on your invoice).
- Term 2: 11 sessions × £25 = £275 (due by 1 January 2027).
- Term 3: 13 sessions × £25 = £325 (due by 12 April 2027).

- Payment must be made by the specified deadlines. Failure to do so will incur standard late payment charges.
- Continued non-attendance without communication may result in your child’s place being reallocated to another student.
- The £50 deposit is subject to the cancellation and refund policy above.
- Maths Concierge reserves the right to make minor adjustments to the timetable or curriculum delivery method based on group needs and tutor availability.
- All resources and group sessions are the intellectual property of Maths Concierge and may not be shared externally without permission.

Refunds
Can I get a refund on digital products?
Unfortunately, due to the type of product, we are unable to offer refunds for downloadable products. Our products are digital and cannot be returned and refunded once they have been accessed, as there is no way to return them.
Can I get a refund for a mock?
Individual mock bookings: You may cancel with at least 7 days’ notice, subject to a £25 cancellation charge. Refunds are processed to the original payment card. Date changes also require at least 7 days’ notice, are subject to availability and carry a £15 amendment fee.
Discounted mock bundles: A bundle may be cancelled with at least 14 days’ notice before the next scheduled unused mock. Completed mocks are recalculated at the standard individual mock rate, the £25 cancellation charge is deducted, and any remaining balance is refunded to the original payment card. For example, if a five-mock bundle costs £210 and one mock has already been completed, the refund is calculated as: £210 minus the standard individual rate for one completed mock minus the £25 cancellation charge.
Cancellations made with fewer than 14 days’ notice are non-refundable. Unused bundle sessions cannot be transferred or substituted. Platinum’s complimentary date-change benefit applies only to eligible individual mock bookings while Platinum Membership is active; it does not apply to bundles or waive cancellation charges.
Within 7 days / no-show: Individual mock bookings cannot be changed, transferred or refunded within 7 days of the scheduled mock. No-shows are non-refundable. These provisions are subject to applicable statutory rights and any cancellation or material change made by Maths Concierge.
By paying the deposit and selecting a payment option, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined on our website.
